Ma Crow & Co.
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ma Crow & Co. consists of Ma Crow, Margie Drees and Vicki Abbott. The trio first came together in March, 2011, to help form Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers. Each brought years of experience to the all-female group, performing locally and regionally, and produced three albums, Wayward Daughter, Memory of a Mountain, and Black Wings.

Vicki Abbott (vocals and bass)
From ballads to bluegrass, old-time to contemporary music, her roots come from East Tennessee to the Ohio River Valley. When Ma Crow sings, even the most melodious of song birds would be hard pressed to send forth such a sweet strand of sounds.
Musician John Redel says, “I have had the privilege of backing her up on more than a few occasions and I can tell you from first-hand experience what it is like to watch a room full of people fall under her sway. Folks stop whatever they are in the middle of, just to peek around the corner to see where this Siren’s call is coming from. Musicians try their best to play quieter than they ever have before, so her voice can float into a room of talking people and ensnare them in the middle of their thoughts, pulling on their ears with tones rarely heard on this planet.”
Influences include Bill Monroe, Hazel Dickens, Tim O'Brien, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Flatt and Scruggs, The Carter Family, The Stanley Brothers, and many more traditional artists.
